FDS were contracted by GPF Lewis to undertake some partial soft strip to core areas of a 35k sqft building in Maidenhead Office Park. All toilet finishes were removed across both floors as well as several areas of screed.

The main area of works was in the removal of plants, shrubs and garden finishes to a central exposed courtyard. This was followed by a 150mm excavation and levelling of made ground to facilitate the later construction of a CLT extension inside the main demise. Muck and hardcore was transported from the courtyard through the ground floor by a 1T dumper fitted with a DPF filter which eliminated all harmful fumes from being emitted to the office space. Finally, after the CLT was built, three sections of glazed and masonry façade were demolished to allow level access from the original office areas to the extension.
